Hallinan Consistanly Strong

Posted Saturday, October 11, 2008 by Jenna Tucchio
Sarah Hallinan is not a stranger to big games, or big time play. A three year starter for the Bears, Hallinan has worked on the forward line and at midfield. Through the years, Sarah's strong stick, passing ability and knack for the goal have been an asset to Stonington Field Hockey. This season, Hallinan is developing in true senior form, stepping up her game with great defensive play, good field vision and a never give up attitude. Sarah outworks and outsmarts her opponents at right midfield, easily dodging stunned opponents and feeding teammates with big passes while creating scoring opportunities. Sarah has collected 3 goals and 4 assists through 10 games demonstrating that the midfield is an attacking force. Combining with temmates Kelly Grills and Kayla Murphy, Sarah helps command a midfield that is developing into championship form. As one of the Bears top strikers, Hallinan is a force to be reckoned with on the penaly corner attack. Firing huge shots and feeding in rebounds, the Bears offense is thriving with her efforts. Defensively, Sarah has truley come full circle. Adding great positioning, strong stickwork and smart containment, Hallinan has been consistantly been putting together complete and dominating games for the Bears. Sarah Hallinan is showing what complete play is all about. As a senior, she is competing like a champion. Congratulations to Sarah Hallinan for earning Player of the Week.
